Is Rotate PDF free?
Yes. Free, with no watermark, no account and no daily cap. It runs entirely in your browser, so there is nothing to meter.
Does my file get uploaded?
No. Everything happens in this browser tab, so the file never leaves your device. You can keep the Network tab open while it runs: no request carries your file.
Do I need an account?
No. This tool is exactly the same signed in or out.
Will it add a watermark?
No. The result is your file, unmarked. There is no paid tier that removes something we put there, because we do not put anything there.
Does it work on a phone?

Can it rotate only some pages?
Yes, and that is what it is built around. Tap the pages you want in the grid, or take all of them, the odd ones, the even ones — odd and even because a double-sided scan fed the wrong way round comes out with every back page upside down, and that is the most common reason a page is wrong. Then one press turns everything you picked.
How does it know which pages are sideways?
Two ways, and it keeps them apart because they are not equally certain. Where a page has text, it reads which direction the words run, so it knows exactly how far that page has to turn. Where there is no text — a scan — it can only see that the page is lying down in a document that otherwise stands up, which tells it the page is wrong but not which way it fell. It says which is which rather than guessing.
Does rotating lose any quality?
No. Turning a page sets which way up it is, and every reader and printer follows that. Nothing is redrawn and nothing is re-encoded — the same text and the same images come out, turned.
